"Many of us feel like we are on a seesaw, swinging from outrage to overwhelm," says Deepa Iyer, the developer of an approach to engaging in social change that could include you!
In her resource, Social Change Now: A Guide for Reflection and Connection, Iyer offers a "social change ecosystem framework," which outlines ten different roles. This approach also gives several practices that encourage collaboration with others to enact our values for justice in the world. The result is a realization that none of us can do it all, but together, each of us might find the role and practices that fit our interests, skills, and availability.
We encourage participation from the broader Wilmington community. If you are curious about what you can do to make a difference or are already engaged and wondering how you might expand your current efforts, feel free to join us in this practical workshop. Please bring your own lunch; we'll have beverages and snacks available.
